Please Note

The ability to save photos and videos from CareApp depends on your role and your care provider’s settings:

  • āœ… Provider Administrators can download media at any time.

  • āŒ Other roles (like Site Coordinators, Team Members, Family, and Customers) may have limited access, depending on the organisation’s preferences.

If you don’t see a save or download option, it means this feature isn’t enabled for your role. We recommend checking with your care community or provider to request access or to organise receiving the media another way.

Follow the steps below to save photos:
Ā

Mobile

1.Ā Tap the photo or video you’d like to save from your CareApp Feed.

2. On the next screen, you’ll see some details—tap the photo or video again to open it in full-screen view.
Ā
3. If saving is enabled, you’ll see a ā€œDownloadā€ button. Tap it to save the media to your device.

Why can’t I see the download button?

The ability to download photos and videos depends on your role and the settings chosen by the care provider. If you don’t see the download option, reach out to your care community to check access permissions.

I can’t download a photo – what should I do?

If you don’t see the option to download a photo, try the following:

  • Chat with the staff at your provider—they can organise the photos to be saved and sent to you or allow saving for your CareApp role.

(Staff) How can I give someone access to download photos?

If someone reaches out asking for photos from CareApp but doesn’t have permission to download them:

  • āœ… If you have access, you can download the photos on their behalf and share them via email or a cloud platform (like Google Drive).

  • šŸ” If you don’t have access, escalate the request to a Provider Administrator, who can download and share the media as needed.
