Care Provider: How to Edit Customer Details on a Profile
Edit Customer | Edit Resident | Edit Client | Change Customer Name
👋 Would you like to edit a resident's or a client's details on CareApp?
Editing customer details is easy!
You can edit Name (change customer name), Bio, Date of Birth (DOB), Address, Settings (Media and Sharing permissions), and even archive the customer directly from their profile.
Follow the simple steps below for Mobile App and/or Web:
📱 Mobile App
- Tap the Customers tab from the bottom of the home screen.

- Select the customer you would like to edit.

- Go to the About tab on the customer profile.
- Tap the pencil icon next to the section you would like to update.

- You can edit:
- Name (change customer name)
- Bio
- Date of Birth (DOB)
- Address
- Settings (Media and Sharing permissions)
- Archive the customer
- If you need to archive a customer, follow this guide: Archiving Customers.
- Once you have made your changes, tap Save.

💻 Web (Computer)
- Click the Customers tab from the left-hand menu.
- Select the customer you would like to edit.
- Click the pencil icon next to the section you would like to update.
- You can edit:
- Name (change customer first and last name)
- Bio
- Date of Birth (DOB)
- Address
- Settings (Media and Sharing permissions)
- Archive the customer
- If you need to archive a customer, follow this guide: Archiving Customers.
- Once you have made your changes, click Save.

Editing customer details is quick and simple, and all changes will update across CareApp immediately.
What Family Members Can See
When family members visit a customer’s profile and go to the About section, they can view the following information:
- Name (including any updates you make)
- Bio
- Date of Birth (DOB)
- Address
- Settings — Media and Sharing permissions
