Care Provider: Why Won't My Photos Upload to CareApp?

You’re in the right place! This guide is here to help if you’re having issues uploading a photo — for example, if it says Failed Retry, nothing happens when you select Upload from Gallery, or your camera doesn’t open.

This article is specifically for troubleshooting when something isn’t working as expected.
Select your issue below:
🟦 Upload says "Failed Retry"
If your photo appears to start uploading but then fails:
- Check your internet connection: CareApp requires a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
- Try switching networks: If on Wi-Fi, try mobile data or vice versa.
- Click retry: You can tap retry multiple times.
- Restart the app: Sometimes a simple app restart fixes minor bugs.
- Check file compatibility: Ensure your file type is supported and under 2GB. View Supported File Types
- Retry the upload: Start the process again from the beginning.

🟦 Nothing happens when selecting "Upload from Gallery"
If you select Upload from Gallery and nothing happens, this may be due to app permissions or a temporary bug:
- Restart the app: Close and reopen CareApp and try again.

Check app permissions:
- iOS: Go to Settings > CareApp > Photos and ensure access is allowed.
- Android: Go to Settings > Apps > CareApp > Permissions > Storage/Photos and allow access.
- Retry the upload: Start from the beginning after checking permissions.

🟦 Camera won’t open when selecting "Take Photo"
If you select Take Photo and your camera doesn’t open or shows an error:

Check app permissions:
- iOS: Go to Settings > CareApp > Camera and ensure access is allowed.
- Android: Go to Settings > Apps > CareApp > Permissions > Camera and allow access.
- Restart the app: Close and reopen CareApp.
- Retry: Start the process again from the beginning.
